FAUG Review: India made FAUG (Fearless And United Guards) will launch on January 26, 2021, Republic Day. Ever since FAUG’s trailer along with the anthem was released, there is a feeling of dissatisfaction amongst the players who are waiting since October for the game’s launch.

As the tailor shows, the game is set at the LAC, in Galwan Valley. The Indian troops could be seen fighting the PLA troops in the valley. The usage of guns, though visible, was the bare minimum, owing to the actual treaty signed for the LAC that says that no ammunition can be used by either party at the LAC.

Breaking down the review of FAUG’s trailer, one can see the lack of finesse. Having said that, here’s a review of the trailer:

Graphics Quality: The quality of the graphics is low. Considering the game is still in the works, the need to release such a rushed trailer is not comprehensible. The textures and models look unfinished and unpolished.

Considering the game is still in the works, if there will be a second trailer for the game, one can expect major improvements owing to the feedback the gamers and players have been giving about it. The unpolished edges of the game can definitely be defined and the story can then continue.

GAME DESCRIPTION
High up on the peaks at India’s northern border, an elite fighting group protects the nation’s pride and sovereignty. It’s a daunting task, for the most courageous: The Fearless and United Guards.
Join a special unit of FAU-G commandos on patrol in dangerous border territory. Come face-to-face with India’s enemies as you engage with hostile invaders on Indian soil. Fight for survival against the unforgiving terrain and the implacable enemy. Fill the shoes of a patriotic soldier and experience the bravery, brotherhood, and sacrifice of the men guarding the country’s borders.
FAU-G is a proudly made in India project from nCore Games that pays tribute to the heroes of our nation’s armed forces. Based on real-world scenarios, FAU-G brings to life the thrill and adrenaline of a life spent guarding India’s borders.

Gameplay: Though, not a lot of gameplay is visible, whatever is visible of it, the use of hand-to-hand combat is very prominent in the game and the use of guns– bare minimum. In one scene, the Indian soldiers are also seen using detonators guns to kill the troops. There’s no clarification on whether this aspect would be a part of the game or not. From what is known, players will have to complete the missions and the tasks in the game in order to progress in the game. How the story would proceed after Act 1, is not sure for now.

From what is known– the first part of the game is single player. As it was mentioned by the game makers that they want the gamers to resonate with how the soldiers feel at the LAC, the game is surrounded around that. But when the game actually comes out, only then we will be able to judge how big of a kick gamers would get from the game.
